It depends on the job. To stop loose gravel, sand or mulch from scattering in an existing garden or path, use TerraTight Ease. To stop leaks on roofs, walls, balconies or bathrooms without changing how the surface looks, use the Transparent Waterproof Sealant. For a new seamless stone driveway, walkway or pool surround, you need a resin bound system (TerraTight PU or Epoxy) with washed aggregate; send us an enquiry for that. Feature walls and pool walls use Epoxy Wall, and dusty sand or soil areas use our Stabilizer.

In a resin bound surface the stones are fully mixed with clear resin and then trowelled smooth, so every stone is coated and the finished surface is seamless and permeable. In a resin bonded surface the resin is spread first and loose stones are scattered on top; the result is rougher, sheds loose stones over time and does not let water drain through. TerraTight resin systems are designed for resin bound work.

TerraTight PU (PU-211) is a two-component polyurethane with strong resistance to UV yellowing, which makes it the first choice for decorative indoor and outdoor floors where the stone colour matters. It mixes 1:1 and is ready to use after one day. TerraTight Epoxy (EP-231) has higher bonding strength for vehicle traffic, coastal and submerged areas; it mixes 3:1 by weight and needs two days before use. Both are permeable when laid as resin bound.

For resin bound floors we supply tumbled, washed stones from 1 to 6 mm. Because they are uniform and free of fines, the resin coats them evenly and you use noticeably less binder than with ordinary crushed stone. TerraTight Ease is designed for loose aggregates up to 5 mm; larger stones of 5 to 20 mm need extra coats and a longer cure.

Yes, with planning. Apply the Waterproof Sealant between 5°C and 40°C. Two-component resins have a shorter working time in very hot weather (above 40°C), so cool the resin and the aggregate before mixing and work in the early morning or evening. Once cured, the products are designed to withstand UAE summer heat without softening or cracking.

Check three things. The temperature should be above 20°C during application and curing, humidity should be below 70%, and the stones and base must be completely dry and free of dust, mud or oil. Fine desert dust is the most common cause of a weak bond, so rinse dusty gravel and let it dry fully before spraying TerraTight Ease.

A TerraTight PU resin bound floor is ready after one day and an Epoxy floor after two days. TerraTight Ease needs 24 hours without water and reaches full cure at 72 hours. For the Waterproof Sealant, keep water off for 24 hours and avoid heavy foot traffic for 48 hours.

Do not apply TerraTight Ease or the Waterproof Sealant if rain is expected within 24 hours: water during curing weakens the bond and can leave a milky residue. Two-component resins are sensitive to water before and during curing, so tools, containers, stones and the base must all be dry.

The 2 L bottle covers about 4 m² undiluted, or up to 12 m² when diluted 1:2 with water. The 5 L bottle covers about 10 m² undiluted, or up to 20 m² diluted. Use it undiluted on paths that take regular foot traffic and diluted on decorative beds.

The 2 L bottle covers roughly 8 to 12 m² per coat and the 15 L bucket roughly 60 to 90 m² per coat, depending on how porous the surface is. We recommend two thin coats, so halve those figures for a full system. A 40 m² roof, for example, typically needs one 15 L bucket.

Resin quantity depends on the area, the layer thickness and the aggregate size and blend, so we calculate it for each project. Send the area in square metres, the base (concrete, asphalt or compacted sub-base) and the expected traffic through our enquiry form and we will quote resin and aggregate together.

TerraTight Ease and the Waterproof Sealant are water-based and non-toxic once cured. Keep children and pets away while they cure (72 hours for Ease, 48 to 72 hours for the Sealant), and wear gloves and eye protection during application, as you would with any construction chemical.

Sweep regularly and rinse with a garden hose. A resin bound floor can be power-washed. On gravel treated with TerraTight Ease, keep the pressure low (below 1,000 psi / 70 bar) and the nozzle at least 30 cm from the surface. Worn patches can be repaired by re-applying the binder to that area only.

The Waterproof Sealant uses UV-stable resins and stays clear. For resin bound floors exposed to full sun, TerraTight PU is formulated specifically for yellowing resistance, which is why we recommend it for decorative outdoor areas.

Unopened products in their original sealed packaging can be returned within 7 days of delivery. Opened resin, sealant and adhesive containers cannot be returned for safety and product-integrity reasons, but defective products are always replaced or refunded. See our Returns & Refunds Policy.
